Performance and Technical Review
- Hrithik Roshan (Kabir): Delivers style, charisma, and incredible action. Highlights include a car chase in Spain and a sword fight in Japan.
- Jr. NTR (Vikram): Makes an explosive Bollywood debut, matching Hrithik's screen presence. His action sequences, like the ship explosion and train fight, are highly praised.
- The biggest attraction was the spectacular dance face-off and the climax fight between Hrithik and Jr. NTR, featuring breathtaking action on land, air, and snow.
- Direction (Ayan Mukerji): His first action movie has a grand, global feel with beautiful locations. However, some critics felt the focus on star heroics overshadowed the depth of the story.
Box Office and Conclusion
War 2 is pure entertainment, perfect for Spy Universe fans. The movie received mixed reviews but performed well commercially.
Box Office Status: The estimated war 2 budget and collection suggest the film was made on a reported budget of around ₹400 crore and grossed approximately ₹364.35 crore worldwide. While a commercial success, it did not break the records set by the first 'War' and was considered a below-par performer for the franchise.
A must-see is the post-credits scene which teases the upcoming YRF Spy Universe film, Alpha, starring Bobby Deol and Alia Bhatt.
